Bonnie Cohen was sworn in as Under Secretary for Management August 20, 1997.[End of Document]
Ms. Cohen was formerly the Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management and Budget at the Department of the Interior. From June 1989 to April 1993 she was the Senior Vice President of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the largest national nonprofit devoted to historic and cultural preservation.
Ms. Cohen's professional acitivities and affiliations include Board Member of the Environmental Defense Fund, American Red Cross Pension Funds, DC Retirement Board, and the Center for Marine Conservation. She is the founding member of the Council of Institutional Investors. Bonnie Cohen is active in a number of groups supporting a larger role for minorities and women in the investment community.
Bonnie Cohen earned a B.A. from Smith College, and an M.B.A. as one of the first women graduates of the Harvard Business School. She is married to Louis Richard Cohen, partner at Wilmer, Cutler and Pickering. They have two children.
