Biography

Jimmy J. Kolker of Missouri is the new U.S. Ambassador to Burkina Faso. Ambassador Kolker is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service in the class of counselor.

During Ambassador Kolker's 22-year Foreign Service career, he has served in Gaborone, London, Stockholm, Harare, Maputo, and Washington, DC. He also served as senior adviser to the Under Secretary for Management. In his most recent assignment, he was Deputy Chief of Mission in Copenhagen.
