APPENDIX G: TRADE EVENT SCHEDULE

* HIMALAYAN EXPO '2000

This event will be held in Kathmandu in April 2000. It has been organized by a local promoter on an annual basis since 1990. The show is increasingly business-oriented and was visited by some 25,000 business and 50,000 general visitors in 1999. Himalayan Expo is the only business event of its kind in Nepal and is gaining stature as a regional trade show. It is to be recommended for market promotion purposes, especially to introduce new products to Nepal. The Embassy has sponsored USA Pavilions at the show since 1994.
