Press Facility Near the Wye River Conference Centers
A press facility has been established at the Chesapeake College Performing Arts Center, 1000 College Circle, Wye Mills, MD, to assist media representatives who are in the area to cover the Middle East Peace Talks at the Wye River Conference Centers. Overflow press will be assigned space in a facility at the gymnasium. The College is located just off Route 50, about 2 miles beyond the turnoff for the Wye River Conference Centers.
Press who wish to order a phone line at this facility should place their order ASAP with Bell Atlantic. Broadcast translation lines should be ordered by calling (202) 392-3061. Orders for voice lines should be ordered through Bell Atlantic Business Operations at (410) 954-6281. The phone company needs 24 hours' notice, and will need to be given the College's address (above) with each order.
Media credentials will be issued at the entrance to the Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College. All media representatives who need access to the press facility must apply in person, complete a short application form, and present either (a) a photo media identification card or (b) a photo i.d. such as driver's license or passport AND a letter on media letterhead stating the individual (by name) is a legitimate media employee.
Credentials can be picked up beginning Wednesday, October 14, 1998, at 12 noon.
