Open Press for the Secretary's Address, December 1, 1998
To the Washington Conference on Holocaust-Era Assets
And Information on Press Credentials for the Conference
The Secretary of State will address the opening plenary of the Washington Conference on Holocaust-Era Assets on Tuesday, December 1, 1998, at 9:50 AM. The first portion (9:30-10:45 AM) of this plenary, which features the Secretary's address, will be open to the press. Cameras must preposition in the Loy Henderson Auditorium at 7:30 AM. There will be 30 seats for the written press in the Loy Henderson Auditorium distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. All other press can watch a live video feed in the Dean Acheson Auditorium, the Conference's press briefing center (entrance on 23rd Street, NW, between C and D Streets).
Press covering the Conference may apply to the USIA Foreign Press Center for media credentials. These credentials along with the Conference press kit may be picked up at the Foreign Press Center in the National Press Building on Monday, November 30.
The Conference will also admit press with photo-ID press credentials from the Department of State.
