Kyrgyzstan: WTO Accession

The United States warmly welcomes the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the World Trade Organization. Kyrgyzstan is the first of the Newly Independent States to complete its accession process. This step is an important milestone in the Kyrgyz Republic’s integration into the global economic community and is a sign of its leadership on market reform. The United States looks forward to working closely with the Kyrgyz Republic in the WTO in areas of mutual interest. The U.S. government continues to support the early entry of the other Newly Independent States into the WTO on commercial terms.
