Notice to the Press

Press Registration for the
International Conference on Fighting Corruption and
Safeguarding Integrity Among Justice and Security Officials
Hosted by Vice President Gore

Any and all press intending to cover the International Conference on fighting Corruption and Safeguarding Integrity Among Justice and Security Officials must register in advance to receive an official conference press credential to cover events. Applications for media credentials are available at the website addresses listed below or can be faxed to journalist using the telephone number below.

Completed applications for press credentials must be received in Washington, no later than February 17, 1999, and should be accompanied by an original letter from the organization the journalist will represent. Credential distribution will take place on February 23, 1999 at the Foreign Press Center, located in the foreign Press Building, 529 14th Street, NW, Suite 898. Photo identification or a valid passport will be required to receive the credential issued to that individual. Messengers and other third-party representatives will not be authorized to claim credentials.

Official credentials must be displayed at all times throughout the conference and will permit press access to designated areas within the facility. More detailed press information will be posted on the websites as it becomes available.
