Secretary Albright’s Travel to Guatemala

Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright will travel to Antigua, Guatemala on March 10-11 to join President Clinton for the Central American Summit. At the March 11 summit, the President and the Secretary will confirm U.S. commitment to continued support for relief efforts and the promotion of peace, democracy and economic development in the region. The leaders will also discuss taking steps to reduce trade and investment barriers, promote micro-enterprise, increase environmental protection and control illegal migration.
