Secretary Albright and Minister Granic shared assessments of the conflict in Kosovo and of the undemocratic regime in Belgrade. Both deplored the atrocities being committed by Serb forces in Kosovo. Secretary Albright and Minister Granic also discussed a range of bilateral issues including implementation of the Dayton accords, democratization and refugee returns. Secretary Albright stressed the need for significant reform of the election law in Croatia. Minister Granic thanked the Secretary for continued U.S. support on Prevlaka.
