South Korea: Visit of Foreign Minister Republic of Korea Foreign Minister Hong Soon-Young will visit Washington May 13 -17 to meet with Secretary Albright and other senior U.S. officials as part of a periodic bilateral consultation. Foreign Minister Hong is coming at the invitation of Secretary Albright.
This will be Foreign Minister Hong's second trip to the U.S. since being appointed in August 1998. Issues to be discussed during his consultations include North Korea policy coordination, matters relating to implementation of the Agreed Framework, South Korea's economic situation, and other matters of bilateral concern.
