  • Foreign Service Family Members

The Career Development Resource Center (CDRC), together with the Family Liaison Office, provides support to Foreign Service Family Members. CDRC encourages you to visit the Center to explore in person the resources that are available to you. Each year about 300 Foreign Service Family Members, both men and women, sign-in to make use of the Center.

You may also contact CDRC before you return from overseas, to begin preparations for the career moves you plan to make when you are back in the Washington, DC area. Fax and E-mail allow CDRC to critique Federal Applications and resumes and to answer questions from overseas clients.

Our fax number is 202-663-3146, our email address is CDRC@state.gov.

CDRC is prepared to help you whether your goal is a government or private-sector position. In the past year our clients have ranged from a carpenter to medical doctors and from high school graduates to Ph.Ds.
