Since 1997, the Secretary of State's Advisory Committee on Religious Freedom Abroad has been engaged in the process of analyzing the status of international religious freedom, the role religion plays in conflict and conflict resolution, and actions that the U.S. Government might take to further religious freedom abroad. This Final Report makes a number of recommendations which are designed to further a commitment to promote the fundamental right of freedom of conscience and belief. Members of the Advisory Committee
