Allowance and Post Differential Reclassifications TL:SR-589 (Part B)

Effective August 27, 2000, unless otherwise noted, Allowances and/or Post Differential Rates are revised as shown. These changes will be part B of TL:SR-589. Please inform local offices of all U.S. Government agencies at the posts listed. Abbreviations and short form designations of posts will be used; complete post entries will be shown in the subsequent pages of printed Section 920. Important: Read this entire message as posts may be listed more than once. Changes are listed by Allowance or Differential rather than by post. Taiwan has been included, when applicable, under arrangement with the American Institute in Taiwan. The Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) changes for Buenos Aires, Argentina, Hamburg, Germany, and Other, Greece are based on the annual report of Living Quarters expenses. The Post (Cost of Living) allowance changes for the Bahamas, Cambodia, Dominican Republic and Syria are based on new Retail Price schedules submitted by Grand Bahama Island, Phnom Penh, Santo Domingo, and Damascus. All other Post Allowance changes are based on currency exchange rate information reported to the Office of Allowances as of the first Tuesday of the pay period (August 15, 2000). All Education At Post rate changes are based on new information supplied by posts for the 2000/2001 school year. The Post Differential change for Thailand is based on a Post Differential Report (OF-267) submitted by Udorn.
