The Office for Japanese Affairs of the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the U.S. Department of State coordinates U.S. relations with Japan. Staffed by ten Foreign Service officers, the Office provides policy advice on Japanese economic and political issues to the Secretary of State and other senior U.S. administration officials.
