The Department of State Foreign Affairs Network is a cooperative initiative between the Bureau of Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and the Federal Depository Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). The Office of Electronic Information (PA/EI) manages the information content and design/organization of the web sites at http://1997-2001.state.gov and http://1997-2001.state.gov. PA/EI also coordinates release of information on the Internet for the State Department in Washington, D.C. PA/PC ensures that information on servers used by other bureaus/offices--such as the Bureau of Consular Affairs (travel.state.gov)--is linked with the main homepage at www.state.gov.

The Federal Depository Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago provides technical support for the web sites at www.state.gov and secretary.state.gov. Please direct technical questions to the doswork@uic.edu address. We will forward technical questions relating to other servers to the appropriate State Department bureau or office.
