SECRETARY ALBRIGHT: I applaud the House for passing H.R. 3244, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. This legislation will help us track down and prosecute traffickers, as well as aid and protect their victims. The fight against trafficking in human beings, both at home and abroad, has been a top priority of this administration. I have elevated this issue to the top of our agenda. We look forward to prompt Senate passage of this bill, so that we can have a tough federal law that specifically targets this awful crime.
