     Focus of Trip:

Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright will travel to Spain and France from January 11 to January 13, departing Washington the evening of Wednesday, January 10.
      In Spain on January 11, the Secretary will meet with King Juan Carlos, Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar and Foreign Minister Josep Pique. She will sign a Joint Declaration with Foreign Minister Pique concerning a new enhanced relationship between the United States and Spain
      The same afternoon, Secretary Albright will travel to Paris and meet in the evening with French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine. On January 12, the Secretary will have the opportunity to meet with other European foreign ministers. The Secretary will return to Washington, D.C. on January 13.
